The Kazan Helicopters of the Russian Helicopters Holding (part of the Rostec Corporation) completed certification tests of the Ansat helicopter with a high-comfort cabin made in the style of the Aurus brand.

The purpose of the certification tests is to evaluate the performance of equipment installed in the helicopter’s executive cabin and its electromagnetic compatibility with on-board electronic equipment. The next step is to obtain approval from the Federal Air Transport Agency of this change in the helicopter’s type design.

Ansat Aurus is designed to carry five passengers. The design project of the cabin was created by experts from the Russian Helicopters and the Central Scientific Research Automobile & Engine Institute (NAMI). When developing a cabin and seeking optimal ergonomic solutions, in addition to computer modeling, tests were conducted with people of different bodily constitutions.

Being a part of the NAMI’s Cortege Project, the Aurus brand are luxury cars for top officials. For the first time, Ansat in the Aurus brand style was demonstrated at a static display of the Russian Helicopters Holding at MAKS’2019. There, the rotorcraft manufactured by Kazan Helicopters was examined by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
