Tatarstan presented industrial and investment activities in AmCham Russia

The presentation of the industrial and investment potential in Tatarstan was held today at the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia.

At its opening, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov made a welcoming speech. The presentation was continued by Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, who shared the success of the investment activities in Tatarstan.

Reports were also made by a representative of the SEZ Innopolis Vadim Galeyev and individual entrepreneur Alim Galimullin, who spoke about the experience of start-up projects in the field of republic’s agriculture. Aleksandr Cherepanov, representative of 3M Russia, told the audience about the experience in implementing projects by US-headquartered companies in Tatarstan.

The event was moderated by AmCham President & CEO Alexis Rodzianko.

The foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and the United States in the first half of 2019 amounted to US$ 290.4 million. Tatarstan’s exports to the US include fuels, crude oil and products of its distillation, bituminous substances, plastics, rubbers, fertilisers, wood, electric machinery, and equipment. From the US, Tatarstan mainly imports land vehicles, electrical machinery and equipment, sound recording and reproducing equipment, chemical products, furniture, and ferrous metal products.
