Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a Polymer Day dedicated to the cable industry products. The event was attended by representatives of more than 15 Russia’s leaders in cable industry, major polymer raw producers in Tatarstan and Russia, enterprises processing polymer raw materials, and scientific community representatives. The meeting was attended by Deputy Director of Department for Chemical Technology Complex and Bioengineering Technology at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Aleksandr Orlov. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister Aleksey Savelchev.
The event featured a presentation of the Tatarstan’s industrial potential in the field of cable industry products. During an open dialogue, experts of polymer production and processing sector identified the most problematic bottlenecks in the interaction of relevant enterprises, discussed economic and legal issues, as well as encouraging the production of higher value added products and promoting them to domestic and foreign markets.
The event was addressed by representatives of Nizhnekamskneftekhim, Polygran Production Company, and Khimtekh Regional Engineering Centre.
At the end of the meeting, the parties acknowledged a need to create a federal experimental centre for innovative production and testing of cable products.
