Another Meeting of Tatarstan Committee to Combat Illicit Trafficking in Industrial Products

7 August 2018, Tuesday

Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a meeting of the Committee to Combat Illicit Trafficking in Industrial Products. Its agenda is dedicated to joining the project of incoming quality control for cabling and wiring products at social facilities under construction.

The use of counterfeit cabling and wiring products that do not meet the technical specifications can cause serious consequences – from equipment malfunctions to life-threatening emergencies, such as fires.

At the end of December last year, at a meeting of the Russia’s State Committee to Combat Illicit Trafficking in Industrial Products, it was decided to implement, in some regions of the country, an incoming quality control of cabling and wiring products at social facilities under construction.

The pilot project was supported by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. He gave instructions for its implementation in Tatarstan and for the creation of a relevant sectoral working group under the republic’s Committee to Combat Illicit Trafficking in Industrial Products.
